PICS: Close friend Karan Johar and Sushant Singh Rajput attend Manish Malhotra’s show

Karan Johar and designer Manish Malhotra have been close friends for many years. Manish Malhotra has designed iconic outfits for the lead actors in films directed and produced by Karan Johar. The two will now be collaborating for Dharma Productions’ Student of the Year 2.

About Manish, Karan was quoted saying, “Manish is the kind of person who can never say a bad thing about anyone..And that can get annoying at times”. About his impeccable fashion sense, Karan added, “Manish is the only person I know who is annoyingly chipper and full of beans, not to mention, impeccably turned out, at six in the morning. Oh, and he hates wearing open toe footwear and flip-flops.”

Karan was seen rooting for Manish’s new collection in a cool blue jacket. Sushant Singh Rajput also attended Manish’s show wearing an outfit designed by Manish himself. Last year, Sushant had walked the ramp for Manish Malhotra with Shraddha Kapoor.

The ‘Raabta’ actor had said, “I was very excited, but was nervous to walk the ramp. I have got many firsts in my life and one of them was walking for Manish Malhotra. I asked Manish, what goes through a model’s mind before walking the ramp. He asked me to be myself. It was an honour to walk for someone like him.”

On the work front, Sushant Singh Rajput is busy with the workshops of his next film, Kedarnath with Sara Ali Khan. He has also signed Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan’s Chanda Mama Door Ke.
