Pics: Akshay Kumar goes desi in an all blue look as he kick starts the weekend by promoting Mission Mangal

After a long vacay with wifey Twinkle Khanna and kids, Khiladi Akshay Kumar is back to the bay and soon after coming back, Akshay is back to work and by that, we mean promotions of Mission ​​Mangal. And today, Akshay Kumar was snapped while promoting the film in the city and in the photos, Akshay is seen wearing an all blue look- royal blue kurta paired with jeans. 

In the film, Akshay plays the role of a scientist as the film tells the incredible story of underdogs who took India to Mars. Starring  Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Nithya Menen, Kirti Kulhari and Sharman Joshi, the film is based on ISRO's Mars mission and during a recent interview, when Akshay was asked about the film, he had said that the message of the film is that women are not just equal but better and more powerful than men. “When Mangalyaan happened, my wife (Twinkle Khanna) had written that it was called MOM (Mars Orbiter Mission) for a reason. Had it been called DAD, it would still be on earth. I used that line in the film too and want parents to watch it with their children,” informed Akshay.

Mission Mangal is set to hit the screens on August 15, 2019 and post Mission Mangal, Akshay will be seen in films such as Farhad Samji's Housefull 4, Raj Mehta's Good News, Raghava Lawrence's Laxmmi Bomb, Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi and Farhad Samji's Bachchan Pandey. Mission Mangal will clash at the box office with John Abraham's Batla House and the makers of Saaho avioded the clash on Independence Day as they postponed the release of their film.
