Zaheer Khan and Sagarika Ghatge took the internet by storm when they announced their engagement on their social media handles. The couple tied the knot today. The pictures of the two have gone viral. Fans have been wishing the couple on their social media handle.

The two hosted a cocktail and dinner party for their friends at a five-star restaurant in Mumbai. Sagarika looked breathtakingly beautiful in a peach lehenga whereas Zaheer Khan looked dapper in a black blazer.

About the wedding ceremony, a source had told a leading daily, “It’s an intimate, homely affair. Other than their family members, Zaheer’s close cricketer friends like Yuvraj Singh, Ashish Nehra and Ajit Agarkar are also expected to be present. After the marriage, there will be a cocktail party at a five-star hotel in the evening. The Mehendi ceremony will take place on Sunday, followed by a grand reception on Monday evening.”

Expressing her feelings for Zaheer, Sagarika had earlier said, "With him, the reason I feel most connected is that he understands me. Definitely, he’s a friend first, and everything [else] later. I feel that’s the most important thing one needs in their partner."

Talking about the romantic proposal, she said, "Zaheer proposing to me was quite unexpected. Though I definitely knew we were thinking it was going to be the next step, I didn’t know when he was going to do it. As for announcing it on social media, it was more for people to give their blessing, because it would’ve anyway got out in some way or the other — we didn’t want to sit down and answer those questions. People kept asking us, ‘What’s happening’, and we thought that when we have something to say, then why not just say it."
