Photos: Sanjay Dutt, Mahesh Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt spotted together

Today, Sanjay Dutt was spotted with Mahesh Bhatt and his daughter Pooja Bhatt in the city. While Sanjay looked dapper in a casual tee and denim, Pooja looked beautiful in a black floral kurta and white trousers. Mahesh, on the other hand, looked dapper in a black shirt and denim.

If reports are to be believed, the three are working together for Sadak 2. It seems like scripting on the same has officially begun. Earlier when Sanjay was asked about it by a daily, he stated, "If 'Sadak 2' ever happens, I would love to do it."

Recently, during an interaction with a leading daily's weekly magazine, Pooja spoke at length about making Sadak 2. She stated, "It will not be a remake of the original and no, I am not in talks with Alia to reprise my role." She added, "The story will start from where we left it. It is difficult to imagine Sadak without Maharani (played by the late Sadashiv Amrapurkar), but it would be incomplete without Sanjay Dutt."

Mahesh Bhatt directed ‘Sadak’, that was released in 1991, starred Sanjay Dutt playing the character of a young man in love with a sex worker (played by Pooja Bhatt) and fights against all odds to be with her.

There were rumours that the film is a remake of the 1994 Tamil drama Mahanadi. When asked about these reports, Dutt had said,  "It's a great script - not a remake, but another part [of the same film]. I have spoken to Bhatt saab about it. I hope something comes out of it."

A source had earlier told a daily, "It’s a remake of the 1994 Tamil drama Mahanadi starring Kamal Haasan and dealt with hardcore social issues like as corruption and child trafficking. Alia Bhatt will be seen as the daughter of Sanjay and Pooja and she will go missing and later will be found by Dutt as a sex worker."
