The film 96 saw the superstar of south film industry Vijay Sethupathi essaying the lead role. The actor who is fondly known as Makkal Selvan by his fans and film audience was applauded for his terrific performance. The south megastar was seen opposite the stunning actress Trisha Krishnan. The film was a superhit and did very well at the box office. Recently, both the leading stars of 96, Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan shared sweet posts on their respective social media handles about the film completing a year since its release.

Now, as per the latest reports on Telugu remake of Tamil blockbuster film 96, director Prem Kumar will be helming the version with Samantha Akkineni as the female lead. The director Prem Kumar had helmed the original film as well with Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan in the lead. As per latest reports, the gorgeous diva Samantha Akkineni is known to have some interesting projects in her kitty. The fans of the stunner are now looking forward to see her on the big screen.
