Sachin Tendulkar, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Shabana Azmi and many other celebs attended Secret Superstar screening.
Aamir Khan today hosted a special screening of Secret Superstar for her mother. The screening saw many celebs in attendance including – Sachin Tendulkar, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar and Rajkummar Rao.
Sachin looked handsome as ever in a blue shirt and denim. He smiled as he posed for the shutterbugs. Nawazuddin Siddiqui opted for a casual tee and denim, while Rajkummar Rao looked dapper in a black coat and black denim.
Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar made a handsome couple as they walked hand-in-hand to the screening. The couple was seen twinning in white. They were all smiles as they got clicked by the paparazzi.
Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, Zaira Wasim, Anil Kapoor, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra were among others who made a stylish entry at the event.
Recently, in an interview with a leading news agency, Zaira stated that acting was never on her mind and that she hasn't seen any of Aamir's movies. The actress said, "I was never so inclined to this profession. It isn't like I wanted to be an actress. I am still the kind of a person who doesn't watch films. I cannot sit through a whole film. The last film I saw was Dangal. In fact, I've not seen much AK (Aamir Khan) films. I don't think I've seen any of it."
On Aamir, Zaira revealed, "He is intimidating as a person. But it wasn't that I would die to work with him because I never wanted to be an actress. I never had something to be driven to (referring to acting as a profession). I am still exploring myself."
Talking about the plot of Secret Superstar, Zaira plays a 14-year-old girl named Insia who desires to be a singer much to the chagrin of her dad. She then decides to make her own YouTube channel in which she posts videos of herself singing while covering her face in a burkha. She is then scouted by Aamir's character who is a music director and is impressed by Insia's musical gift.
Secret Superstar is slated to release on October 19, 2017.
