PHOTOS: Ranveer Singh spotted outside Zoya Akhtar’s house; Fatima Sana Shaikh clicked at a salon
Ranveer Singh and Fatima Sana Shaikh clicked in the city.
Today, Ranveer Singh was clicked outside director Zoya Akhtar's house. Ranveer will be working with Zoya in the film, Gully Boys. This will be Ranveer's second film with her after Dil Dhadakne Do (2015). The movie also stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role.
The actor looked handsome in a black outfit, hat, and funky shades. He was seen waving at the shutterbugs.
Gully Boys is inspired by the lives of two rappers Vivian Fernandes aka Divine and Naved Shaikh aka Naezy. Talking about Ranveer, Divine had said, "He's a cool guy and already dresses like a rapper so he needs no tips in the fashion department from me. It is one thing to get audiences to wake up and listen to our kind of music, which is not about girls, gold, and drugs but about real life in Mumbai. But it is an even greater thing when mainstream actors like Ranveer chose to be a Gully Boys. He's now a part of our movement."
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh will be seen essaying the role of Alauddin Khilji in Padmavati. The movie also stars Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor and is helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
When asked about the ongoing controversies surrounding Padmavati, the actor had revealed, "I am 200% with the film and my director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, I have been asked not to say anything, whatever official stand it is you will get it from Producers.It's a very sensitive issue."
Fatima Sana Shaikh was also clicked in the city. She was seen exiting a salon. The actress looked beautiful in a maroon coloured outfit.
Fatima will next be seen in Thugs of Hindostan. The film is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya (Victor) of Dhoom 3 fame and also stars Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif in lead roles. The much-awaited flick is set to hit the screens during the Diwali weekend next year.
When asked, how special is Thugs of Hindostan for her, Fatima stated at a film festival, "It's very special. I am very fortunate to work with legend Amit sir. I am very excited to work with him. He is an amazing co-actor."
