Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor spotted in the city.
Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor will next be seen in Padmavati. The two were clicked outside their respective gyms. Ranveer looked uber-cool in printed jacket and joggers. He even waved at his fans who were standing outside the club.
Ranveer will be seen playing the role of Alauddin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film. Speaking about his role in Padmavati, Ranveer told a publication, "It was a very difficult character to play. I am a people pleaser, admittedly. I like to spread cheer and laughter. I like to keep the atmosphere light – even if it means making stupid jokes and acting silly and crass. But, when I became Alauddin Khilji for the movie, there’s no trace of that person. Some actors are that way, where the external starts to affect the internal."
He also added, "At some point during filming, everybody realized that at one point in the morning you’ll have Ranveer and the rest of the day will be Khilji. My whole energy changed. Which is good, because at least I know I’m doing an honest job in the film. But, yeah, I’m almost done now and I have to say what I told myself holds true to some extent. All the darkness has been lived out, it’s been addressed. It’s almost like therapy."
Shahid was also seen waving at his fans outside his gym. Shahid wore a black T-shirt and black 3/4th joggers. Shahid will essay the role of Maha Rawal Ratan Singh.
In an interview, Shahid talking about the film said, “Somehow, by default, in most actors’ careers – over the years – they are remembered by the love stories that they have done. They (love) break the barrier of time and audiences keep going back to them. I have been a part of a couple [of such films] and I hope my next film, Padmavati also falls into that category. It definitely has the makings of being something like that."
Padmavati is slated to release on December 1, 2017.
