Photos: Ranbir Kapoor starts prepping for Brahmastra
Brahmastra is slated to release on August 15, 2019.
Ranbir Kapoor will be collaborating with best friend Ayan Mukerji yet again in Brahmastra. The movie which will be produced by Karan Johar also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Alia Bhatt and will be a trilogy.
A statement announcing the movie was made last month which read, "Dharma Productions is proud to announce one of its most ambitious films Ayan Mukerji's directorial venture We embark a journey into the realm of a fantasy adventure series which will be a trilogy Collaborating on this exciting journey with us is Fox Star Studios and Namit Malhotra. We are honoured to have Mr. Amitabh Bachchan lead our cast along with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The first part of our big screen spectacle will release on August 15, 2019. And we finally have a title BRAHMASTRA."
Ranbir has already started prepping for the movie in full swing as we got our hands on pictures of the handsome actor in work mode.
Ranbir is seen in a casual cool look as he pairs a white tee with dark blue track pants and a black snapback.

Meanwhile, when a leading daily asked Ranbir about Brahmastra, the actor said, "Well, it’s not really a superhero film because the word ‘superhero’ comes with a preconceived notion about it. The film is, as Ayan puts it, ‘a magical romantic fairy tale set in contemporary times.’ It’s got a great cast too with Alia Bhatt and Amitji (Amitabh Bachchan) in the film. Other superb actors are also being cast in it. It’s a film that has been written in a trilogy format so there will be three parts, which Ayan will make over a period of eight years. It’s also very exciting, and risky at the same time because it’s something that has never been tried before."
Brahmastra is slated to release on August 15, 2019.
