PHOTOS: Priyanka Chopra snapped as she pays a visit to Shabana Azmi to offer her condolences

Priyanka Chopra paid a condolence visit to Shabana Azmi. She was accompanied by her brother. For the unversed, Shabana Azmi's mother, Shaukat Kaifi, 93, passed away recently due to age-related illness. Kaifi's son-in-law and writer-lyricist Javed Akhtar confirmed the news of the death of the veteran theatre actor.  He said, "She was 93 and was having one problem after another. She was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. For certain days she was in the ICU and then she was out of ICU. It was all age related." Speaking of Priyanka Chopra, she is currently busy shooting for her upcoming movie The White Tiger, which is based on Booker Prize Winner Arvind Adiga's book of the same name. The film is being helmed by Ramin Bahrani. She will be sharing screen space with Rajkummar Rao in the movie. The actress was hitting the headlines recently when she attended celebrity manager Rohini Iyer birthday bash. Aside from Peecee, the party saw many celebs in attendance such as Katrina Kaif, Kriti Sanon, Ekta Kapoor, Nushrat Bharucha, Tahira Kashyap and Huma Qureshi among others.
