Kangana Ranaut has recently been snapped while going out with her family for dinner. The Manikarnika actress could be seen holding her nephew while she was being snapped by the paparazzi. Her sister Rangoli Chandel too has been seen accompanying her. Kangana wore a purple coloured full sleeve dress along with black stockings. On the other hand, Rangoli wore a white and blue coloured salwar kameez. Kangana's nephew Prithvi looked adorable as he wore a black and white stripped full sleeve tee along with brown trousers and matching shoes. Kangana Ranaut has lately been in the news mainly due to the huge success of her latest film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi which was released on January 25, 2019.

Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi starred Kangana in the titular role and also co - starred Ankita Lokhande, Atul Kulkarni, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Jisshu Sengupta and many others in sigificant roles. The film has been produced by Zee Studios, Nishan Pitti and Kamal Jain. It has been directed by Kangana Ranaut and Radha Krishna Jagarlamdi who is popularly known as Krish. The film's storyline is based on the life of Rani Laxmi Bai of Jhansi. Manikarnika received positive reviews from both the audience as well as the critics upon its release in the theatres. There was also a special screening of the film which was held on January 18, 2019 at the Cultural Centre of the Rashtrapati Bhawan for the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind.

The film also garnered a lot of controversies when Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi aka Krish accused Kangana of taking away the directorial credits from him. Kangana, however, denied those charges later on. Despite such controversies, the film happened to be a commercial success at the box office.
