PHOTOS: Kajol and Hema Malini spotted in the city
Kajol and Hema Malini clicked in the city.
Kajol was clicked by the shutterbugs as she attended an event in the city. She looked stunning in a floral shirt and black wide-legged pants.
Kajol is all set to make a special appearance in Shah Rukh Khan’s untitled film, directed by Aanand L Rai. Recently, SRK shot with Kajol Devgn, Rani Mukerji, Sridevi Boney Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor and Alia Bhatt for walk-in special appearances in the film. While Kajol and Rani will be seen together in one scene, Sridevi, Alia and Karisma will be seen in another. Incidentally, Kajol and Rani will come together after 19 years in a movie. They had last shot for Karan Johar's Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998).
Says a source, “While Kajol and Rani are not known to share warm vibes, even though they are cousins (they make sure that both arrive at different times for the Mukerji Durga Puja and never come for photo-ops together), they came together in the same frame only for Shah Rukh, who shares a special rapport with all his heroines. Just to watch Kajol and Rani in the same frame was amazing. It’s a film party scene, which the actresses attend. Buzz is that Katrina Kaif plays an actress in the film and hence the scene, but she’s not part of it. The actress is traveling with her sister now.”
On the other hand, Hema Malini was also spotted in the city. She looked beautiful in a yellow and blue saree. Hema Malini’s latest biography authored by Ram Kamal Mukherjee was released on her 69th birthday. The book is called Hema Malini: Beyond The Dream Girl.
Dreamgirl was a famous song from 1977 in a movie of the same name, a prefix that stuck with the popular actress. From Hema's much gossiped platonic love affair with Jeetendra to the incident of bumping into dashing Dharmendra for the first time — this book claims to have a lot of never-mentioned-before facts. The book is divided into 23 chapters, of which two are dedicated to Hema and Dharmendra's daughters Esha and Ahana.
