Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter starrer Dhadak finally hit the theatres on July 20, 2018. The movie helmed by Shashank Khaitan was produced by Karan Johar under his home banner Dharma Productions. The movie marked the debut of Janhvi into the showbiz while the movie is Ishaan's second after Beyond The Clouds.
Dhadak managed to beat Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra's debut movie Student Of The Year's box office day one record. Not just that, the movie managed to rake in numbers on the second day as well taking the total collections to around Rs 19 crores.
The team including Janhvi, Ishaan and Shashank were spotted outside Gaiety, a popular single-screen theatre in Mumbai, to gauge public reaction to the movie. While Janhvi sported a lemon coloured kurti with white harem pants. She kept her hair open and makeup minimal. On the other hand, Ishaan sported a casual red T-shirt with pants for the outing looking handsome as ever.

Speaking of Dhadak, the movie is an official Hindi adaptation of Marathi popular movie Sairat which was directed by Nagraj Manjule. Sairat starred debutantes Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru in the lead roles.
About the movie, Ishaan's mother Neelima mentioned in an interview with us that she is extremely happy and proud of the way the duo has performed. She even went on to add that it was Janhvi's performance which has stunned her the most in the movie.
