Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter are all set to mark their Bollywood debut with Dhadak which is slated to release tomorrow i.e. July 20. The trailer of the film was released recently and the stars have received rave reviews from all the quarters. And of late they have been on a promotional spree and were seen attending events across the various cities to spread a word about Dhadak. They have been attending events at public places, radio channels, on the sets of Tv shows and special screenings as well. We have to say that the couple looked beyond adorable at the promotions. During the same, the duo was seen wearing some of the best outfits. Ishaan was mostly seen in semi-casual avatar and Janhvi mostly donned ethnic attire and looked her best. 

The stars have become favs of many Bollywood buffs owing to their camaraderie and cuteness. They are often spotted pulling each other’s legs during interviews and public appearances. Their respective social media accounts are also the proof of the same as they keep on sharing their cute and goofy pics and videos for their fans. For the unversed, Dhadak which is the official Hindi adaptation of the hit Marathi movie Sairat starring Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar is directed by Shashank Khaitan of Humpty Sharma ki Dulhaniya and Badrinath ki Dulhaniya fame. The same is produced by Dharma productions and Zee studios. Janhvi and Ishaan who play star-crossed lovers in the movie will mark their Bollywood debut with the same. The music of the movie which has already won many hearts of the masses is composed by famous music composer duo Ajay-Atul.

The story revolves around a rich girl and a poor boy who reside in a Rajasthan’s village. The story showcases how the couple falls in love. And how they are separated by the female protagonist’s father forms the vital part of the story. Will there be a happy ending or the makers have followed the same ending as Sairat? Well, that’s something we can only come to know when we watch it.

Many comparisons are also being made between Sairat and Dhadak as many scenes including hit songs like Zingat and Yad lagla were re-created for the Hindi version of the movie. While many praised the newbies, there is a section of the audience who trolled the same. When asked about their reactions over audience’s mixed responses, Ishaan said that the movie has its own individuality and should be viewed differently. 

While this is the maiden acting project for Janhvi Kapoor who is the daughter of late versatile actor Sridevi, Khatter made his debut with Majid Majidi helmed Beyond The Clouds. He worked as a child artist in 2005 movie Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi.
