Photos: Hema Malini and Deepika Padukone clicked at former's biography launch

Our Bollywood’s Dream Girl Hema Malini turned 69 today. Over the years, the actress has captivated millions of hearts with her aesthetic fashion sense and measured performances. Today, Hema was clicked at the launch of her biography titled Hema Malini: Beyond The Dream Girl. Deepika Padukone too was spotted at this special occasion. 

While Hema Malini looked gorgeous in a blue designer saree, Deepika looked like a million bucks in a red and golden saree. Both the actresses were all smiles as they posed for the shutterbugs.

Talking about Hema Malini’s biography, writer Ram Kamal Mukherjee has penned Hema's journey till now in this book. From Hema's much gossiped platonic love affair with Jeetendra to the incident of bumping into dashing Dharmendra for the first time — this book claims to have a lot of never-mentioned-before facts. The book is divided into 23 chapters, of which two are dedicated to Hema and Dharmendra's daughters Esha and Ahana.

As per reports, Hema Malini also recalls auditioning newcomer Shah Rukh Khan for her directorial debut Dil Aashna Hai in her new authorised biography.

Deepika Padukone, on the other hand, is gearing up for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati, which also stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles.  Recently, the makers of the film shared the trailer and Deepika looked like a million bucks. She has captivated millions of hearts already in the avatar of Queen Padmini. Deepika's dialogue epitomises women power. "Rajputi Kangan mein utni hi taaqat hai jitni rajputi talwaar mein hai," Deepika Padukone says at the end of the trailer, leaving us wanting for more.
