Photos: Farhan Akhtar and Diana Penty promote Lucknow Central on the sets of The Drama Company

Farhan Akhtar and Diana Penty’s next, Lucknow Central is all set to hit the theatres on 15^th September. The team is on a promotional spree and visited the sets of the comedy show, The Drama Company today. The Drama Company is a recently launched show with comedians like Krushna Abhishek, Ali Asgar and Sugandha Mishra who entertain the audience.

Lucknow Central is based on a real life incident and has Farhan Akhtar playing the role of a prisoner who is passionate about music. Diana will be seen in the film essaying the character of an NGO worker in the film. Farhan was last seen in Rock On 2, while Diana was a part of Happy Bhaag Jayegi which released last year. It will be the Diana and Farhan’s first collaboration with each other. Nikkhil Advani is producing the film and about the plot of the film, he had said, “It’s a strong, emotional and dramatic film about jail escape. It is also about dreams and aspirations, innocence and guilt. There is a lot of hope and it will make one believe in the human spirit. Farhan has given a great performance in the film,”

The film has been directed by Ranjit Tiwari. About her role in the film, Diana was quoted saying, “Playing a character that holds her own in a film that has some of the finest actors from our industry, makes it even more special for me”. The film also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Ronit Roy and Rajesh Sharma in pivotal roles.
