Deepika Padukone promoted her upcoming film on the kids' dancing reality show, Super Dancer Chapter 2. The actress even danced on the song Ghoomar with one of the contestants from the show.
The actress was looking delighted as she dances with one of the female contestants on Ghoomar song. The girl contestant who was dancing with Deepika was dressed in a Rajasthani outfit. The Piku actress looked beautiful in a golden-beige saree, with a high neck striped blouse which she paired with a matching saree draped in a traditional style.
Ghoomar was the first song that was released from Padmavati. Deepika received a lot of appreciation for her dance and perfect steps. In the song, she did over 66 twirls and was dressed in an extravagant costume and adorned in heavy jewellery.
In one of the interviews, the Chennai Express spoke about dancing on Ghoomar. She had said, "It has been one of the most difficult song sequences that Sanjay sir and I have shot for. The shooting of the film began with this song and I will never forget that day. I remember approaching my mark for the first shot and suddenly, I felt a chill run through my body. It was almost as if Padmavati’s soul had entered my body. That feeling still lingers and will continue for years to come."
The song has been composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and sung by Shreya Ghoshal.
Deepika plays the role of Rani Padmini in Padmavati. The film also stars Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji.
Padmavati is slated to release on December 1, 2017.
