Deepika attended an awards show in the city today wearing a Monisha Jaising creation. The golden gown made Deepika look ultra-ravishing and she definitely stole the limelight today.

On the work front, Deepika will be seen in Padmavati, the release date of which was deferred owing to incomplete submission of the film in Censor Board and due to growing protests against the film.

About the film, she had earlier revealed, “It's been a while since I have been so nervous. I can't remember the time I was so nervous. I think it is the function of the fact that in all the movies that I've done, I feel there is something (different) about this one. And it is not from the heart, it is not from the head, it is from the gut... It is coming from a completely different place.”

Deepika will also start work on Honey Trehan’s next film based on Sapna Didi with Irrfan Khan in March. She will be seen essaying a powerful character in the film which will be produced by Vishal Bharadwaj.
