Photos: Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh arrive with Bhavnanis for Simmba screening

Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan starrer Simmba is all set to hit the screens this week. The film is directed by Rohit Shetty and is the official Hindi remake of Telugu hit film, Temper. In the film, Ranveer will be seen playing the role of a cop for the very first time in his career and his character is named Sangram Bhalerao. Sara is playing his love interest in this much-awaited flick. Simmba is the first outing of Rohit and Ranveer in a film.
Today, a special screening of the film is being held at a popular studio in Mumbai. The paparazzi snapped Deepika Padukone arriving at the screening with Ranveer's parents and sister Ritika Bhavnani. In the photos, Deepika is seen having a hearty laugh with her in-laws while the shutterbugs couldn't stop clicking this beautiful moment. On the other hand, Ranveer was seen heading to the screening alone in his car after promotional activities.

Earlier, talking about Simmba, Rohit stated to Mid Day, "If I had to make just another cop film, I would have made Singham 3; after all, it is already a big brand. Hopefully, Simmba too, will become a brand. The character and universe of Simmba are completely different from that of Singham. Simmba is an anti-hero. He is dishonest, notorious and accepts bribes until circumstances change him."
Talking about Ranveer, Shetty had said, "I haven't seen a guy with so much positivity. Ranveer can keep the audience riveted with his performance."
