Photos: Ankita Lokhande looks resplendent at Manikarnika trailer launch

Television actress Ankita Lokhande became popular in Indian households as Archana because of the show Pavitra Rishta. After the show got over, her fans have been waiting to know what will be her next project. Well, the actress is all set to make her Bollywood debut next year with the film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. The film stars Kangana Ranaut in the lead role.

In Manikarnika, Kangana Ranaut essays the role of Rani Laxmibai and Ankita Lokhande will be seen as Jhalkari Bai. Ankita's character plays a vital role in the freedom struggle and was Jhansi Ki Rani's close aide. Today, Ankita Lokhande was snapped at the trailer launch of her film in Mumbai. The actress looked gorgeous in a golden saree and green blouse and her hair tied in a bun. She accentuated her look with by putting up a gajra and golden neckpiece.

A few days ago, we saw a few stills of Ankita as Jhalkari Bai and she looks every bit royal and powerful. Her ex-boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput was also impressed by her look and wished her luck.

Manikarnika is directed by Kangana Ranaut. The actress donned the director's hat after Krish walked out of the film to focus on his other project.

The film also stars Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Atul Kulkarni in pivotal roles. 

Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is slated to release on January 25, 2019.
