PHOTOS: Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Taapsee Pannu strike a cool pose as they promote Mission Mangal

With just few days to the release of Mission Mangal, Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Vidya Balan and other actors are leaving no stone unturned to romote the film. And today, despite the heavy rains in Mumbai, the actors, undeterred, stepped out to promote​​ the film. In the pictures, while Akshay Kumar looks dapper as always in his casual look, Vidya paints for a pretty picture in a saree and Taapsee Pannu opts for an Indo-western look. After posing solo in the pictures, we totally love how Akshay, Vidya and Taapsee are all smiles and cracking up after having some fun talks.

Mission Mangal will hit the theatres on the 73rd Independence Day i.e. August 15, 2019, and recently, makers of the film released videos from Mission Mangal wherein Akshay is seen reciting a poem - Yeh Sindoor - in different languages, and former cricketer Sourav Ganguly took to Twitter to praise the actor for the poem as he wrote, “Team #MissionMangal salutes the strength, courage, grace and the spirit of these strong women who believe that the sky is not the limit! Baangla e promo dekhun.”
 

For all those who don’t know, Mission Mangal narrates the tale of India’s achievements in space with the Mars Orbiter Mission. Mission Mangal, directed by Jagan Shakti, will clash at the box office with John Abraham’s Batla House. Mission Mangal pays tribute to the women scientists involved in the mission as it features a host of actresses in the role of scientists such as Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari and Nithya Menen. During a recent interview, Akshay Kumar expressed a sense of discomfort with the word ‘women oriented’ films as he said that if we are equal, then there should not be anything as male-oriented or female-oriented, it should just be a film. Post Mission Mangal, Akshay will be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi, Housefull 4, and Laxmmi Bomb, among others.
