On the work front, Akshay will next be seen in R Balki's PadMan. It is based on Arunachalam Muruganantham, the inventor of low-cost sanitary napkins for women in rural areas. The movie is produced by Twinkle Khanna's Mrs. Funnybones Productions also stars Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor. PadMan is slated to release on January 26, 2018.
Varun Dhawan recently completed the shooting of his next release October. The film was shot in just 38 days. October is directed by Shoojit Sircar.
When Pinkvilla asked Varun about October, the actor revealed, "I connect to a film for various reasons. I have a deep connection with October. I can't talk much about it now."
It will release on April 13 next year.
Rajkummar Rao will be seen in Atul Manjrekar's Fanney Khan. The film also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anil Kapoor in lead roles.
Ayushmann is working in Sriram Raghavan’s thriller, Shoot The Piano Player which will see the actor play a visually challenged pianist. The film also stars Tabu in a vital role.
When the actor was asked about his role in Sriram's film, he had said, "I am glad I've taken my time. I have dabbled two different characters but I haven't dabbled two genres. My films have been medium budget ones, set in small towns about a middle-class family where I play relatable good boy characters."
