Photos: Ajay Devgn and Ileana D’cruz promote Badshaaho

Milan Luthria’s next, Badshaaho is a heist film that will release on 1^st September. The film’s cast includes Ajay Devgn, Ileana D’cruz, Esha Gupta, Emraan Hashmi and Vidyut Jamwal. Promotions of the film have begun in full swing. There were murmurs in the industry about Ajay Devgn’s ‘no-show’ at promotional events. But, today we spotted Ajay Devgn and Ileana D’cruz at a media interaction for the film.

Ajay plays the role of a thief, Bhawani in the film whereas Ileana essays the character of Gitanjali who is a queen. About her role in the film, Ileana had said, “I love the fact that I am doing something which I wanted to for a long time. I was surprised when Milan offered me the role. As it is a central character, I am aware that it comes with a certain responsibility, so I had to contain my excitement. I irritated the hell out of the director by asking him to start the film as soon as possible. It was an emotional journey for me — from being excited to breaking down on the last day. I cried like crazy when Milan announced on the speakers, 'That was Ileana's last shot.' These are the kind of roles that are liberating and I hope our hard work pays off.”

Ajay Devgn has earlier collaborated with director Milan Luthria in Kachche Dhaage and Once Upon a Time in Mumbai. Milan had earlier said, “Emraan Hashmi was perfect as the crook, who can’t be trusted yet is an extremely resourceful guy; Ileana D’Cruz as the princess who is a misfit and wants to explore the world; Esha [Gupta] as the sexy and tough girl; Vidyut [Jammwal] as an Army guy with the best physique in town, someone who could take on Ajay’s and Emraan’s characters; and Sanjay Mishra as the old, wise guy who has seen the world.”
