Aamir Khan is bestowed with Creative Maverick Award.
Aamir Khan is a superstar who refrains from attending award shows. In fact, he does not even send his film’s clips for nominations at award ceremonies. Aamir Khan made an exception today as he attended the GQ Men of the Year award. Aamir looked dapper as he donned a checkered waistcoat.
Incidentally, Aamir had won the Man of the Year Award in 2010. Today, Aamir was felicitated with Creative Maverick award.
AAmir had once said to a leading daily, “Fact is that I have no objections to film awards per se. I just feel that if I don’t value a particular film award, then I won’t attend it either. Apart from the national award, I don’t see any other award ceremony that I should give value to. My personal experience about these award ceremonies is that I don’t trust them. I have no faith in them so I would prefer to stay away”
AAmir is a four time National Award winner and recently commented, “I don’t go to award functions. For me the biggest award is the audiences’ reaction and love. I don’t want to comment on awards”
Aamir was in an upbeat mood and had a gala time with industry friends Karan Johar and Ranveer Singh. Ranveer Singh and Aamir Khan posed for an epic selfie. Ranveer definitely had a fan-boy moment as he posted the photo on his social media account and captioned it #Thuglife.
On the work front, Aamir’s next, Secret Superstar will hit the theatres on Diwali. He is currently busy shooting for Thugs of Hindostan.
