The festive occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi is currently underway with today being the 7th day for Ganpati Visarjan. Bollywood celebrities have been celebrating this festival with a lot of fervour and love. Celebrities like Rishi Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Salman's sister Arpita Khan Sharma and others had welcomed Bappa to their homes and then performed the Visarjan as well. As the Ganesh Utsav continues for a few more days, Shah Rukh Khan visited VPSG Mandal to seek blessings from Lord Ganesha.

BJP Mumbai President Ashish Shelar took to Twitter to share a picture with Shah Rukh after the actor performed the Ganpati Darshan. In the photos, Shah Rukh looks handsome in a simple white shirt and is seen holding a bouquet of roses given to him by Ashish as a sign of welcoming. Ashish's caption reads as, "Pleased 2 welcome @iamsrk at our Vandre Paschim Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal for darshan." You can check the picture below and tell us what you thought about it in the comments below.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh welcomed Lord Ganesha to his home Mannat, in Mumbai as well. The actor had taken to Twitter to share a photo of the Ganesha idol with his son AbRam Khan praying. In his tweet, Shah Rukh revealed that AbRam refers to Ganpati as 'Pappa' instead of Bappa.

Our Ganpati ‘Pappa’ is home, as the lil one calls him.

A few SRK fans bashed the actor on Twitter for performing a Hindu ritual but there were many who supported the actor and showed religious indifference.

On the work front, Shah Rukh will next be seen in Zero. Directed by Aanand L Rai and also starring Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, Zero is slated to release on December 21, 2018.
