Soha Ali Khan celebrated her birthday with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu.
Soha Ali Khan celebrated her 39th birthday on October 4 this year. She and her husband Kunal Kemmu welcomed a baby girl on September 29, 2017, and named her Inaaya Naumi Kemmu. Soha hosted a birthday bash which also became a double celebration as it's her first birthday after becoming a mother. The small celebration was attended by her elder brother Saif Ali Khan, sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor Khan, Konkona Sensharma and mom Sharmila Tagore.
Kunal took to Instagram to share the picture of the celebration. Soha looks pretty in a white attire.
The actor who continued to set an example throughout her pregnancy in an open letter published in a leading daily says that she will miss being pregnant. She also listed down the nine things that had become a part of her during the nine months.
“I know that I’ve complained a lot about this last leg of being pregnant — the aches and pains, the lack of sleep, the hormonal blitzkrieg — but I realise that I am going to miss being pregnant,” she asserted.
Listing down the things she would miss, Soha continued, “Placenta brain as a get out of jail card: A heady hormonal hurricane really does leave you distracted and unfocused but the upside is that it’s a great excuse for slipping up. Left the keys in the door? No harm done. Forgot to boil the water before making tea? It happens!.”
The other things which she says she will miss a lot are Rolls and Somersaults. “I watch my bulging belly distend and collapse marvelling at the magnitude of the engineering enterprise underway below the surface. It is an intimacy that is unreal,” she added.
From extra calories, glow girl, naps to niceness of people around and the attention you get, Soha says she will miss all of these.
She also says that she will miss flaunting her baby bump instead of sucking in her stomach during any photoshoot. Finally, she has a message for the newborn whom she calls a miracle. “Every week Kunal and I have marvelled at the growth of our miracle inside me — from two cells to the size of an apple seed, then an apple and so on until today it’s as big as a pumpkin — a pumpkin with ten fingers, ten toes and a heartbeat. Soon I will be a non-pregnant normal person again and I can’t help but feel blessed and privileged to have had this experience, to have carried this precious bundle over nine fleeting months until it was ready to embrace the world.”
