Janhvi Kapoor has begun shooting for her debut film, Dhadak in Udaipur.

Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor will debut with Shashank Khaitan’s Dhadak. The talented girl will be paired with Shahid Kapoor’s brother, Ishaan Khatter in the film that will be co-produced by Karan Johar.
Janhvi and Ishaan commenced the film’s shoot in Udaipur recently. Manish Malhotra had shared a photo from the sets of the film in Udaipur. Sridevi had also accompanied Janhvi on the first day of shoot. The team have released posters in which Janhvi looks breathtakingly beautiful.
Today, Janhvi accompanied the film’s crew on a lunch outing at a five-star restaurant in Udaipur. Ishaan Khatter did not accompany them as he was busy shooting for the film. Check out the photo! Doesn’t Janhvi look as pretty as her mom Sridevi?
Dhadak is an official remake of 2016 Marathi blockbuster Sairat. “The basic premise is of differences in caste, honour killing and what it means to survive in that world and I feel that is the conflict that is alive all across India, you will hear stories like that. So in that sense, the basic premise (of Dhadak and Sairat) is same. But there are variations. My story is based on another set up… It is (set) in Rajasthan. It comes with its own challenges, conflicts and style of a love story," Shashank had revealed to a news agency.
About casting Janhvi and Ishaan, Shashak Khaitan had revealed to us, “Janhvi and Ishaan get a sense of innocence to the table and that's what we will capitalize on."
