PHOTO: Deepika Padukone promotes Padmavati in the city

Deepika Padukone is going out and about in the city to promote her upcoming film, Padmavati. Deepika is spotted in the city and was all smiles for the shutterbugs. She is seen dressed in hues of pink as she was wearing a pair of purple pants, paired with a one-shoulder top with a knot detail around the neckline. 

The Prabal Gurung outfit had buffount sleeves on one side along with a slash on the back. A broad belt to cinch the waist and metallic pumps rounded her look. 

Deepika has time and again mentioned that Padmavati is her most challenging film. On these lines, she said, "I can't remember the last time I was so nervous. I think it is the function of the fact that this one is completely different from any of my previous roles. My role is not from the heart or head, it's from the gut." 

The film also stars Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji and Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan Singh. 

Padmavati is slated to release on December 1.
