PHOTO ALERT: Anushka Sharma walks hand-in-hand with husband Virat Kohli

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli tied the knot in a private ceremony in Italy today. The couple got married in a luxurious resort and had invited close friends and family.

 The couple made a formal announcement on their social media accounts by posting, “Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey.”

Anushka and Virat also shared pictures from the wedding ceremony. The two wore outfits designed by Sabyasachi. The actress looked ethereal in a pink lehanga with pearls and beads. Virat, on the other hand, looked handsome in a ivory raw silk sherwani. 

The ace designer took to his Instagram account to share an adorable picture of the newly-weds. In the picture, the two are looking simply perfect as they are seen walking hand-in-hand.

Recently, Kohli was all praises for his lady, while on a chat show. He even went to the extent of calling Anushka his 'lady luck'.

"Sir lady luck ka kamaal hai (I've got to thank the lady luck). You've (Gaurav) seen me, you know I had no brains before. Ever since the lady has come into my life, she's taught me a lot of things," he had said when asked about his change in behaviour over the years.

He had added, "I've learnt a lot, become more sensible in the last 4 years all because of her. She's taught me how to be more patient and taught me how to utilise the position you are in to the fullest."

Kohli had also revealed the real reason behind him not hiding his relationship with Anushka. "A very big reason behind me not hiding my relationship is Mr. Zaheer Khan. Luckily he was one of the first guys I spoke to about this and he said whatever you do don't try to hide it because you'll stress yourself. And on top of that you're in a relationship, you're not doing anything wrong. I'm actually very grateful that my first interaction about this was with Zak. And he told me the right thing to do so I've followed it ever since," the 28-year-old had said.

However, Anushka had avoided talking about the same. She had said in an interview to a website earlier, “Everyone has a personal life but I would like to keep a few things very personal and the media too should respect my privacy. We both are busy with our individual work because our focus is on our career.’’
