John will even be producing the film under his home productions JA Entertainment together with Zee Studios, KriArj Entertainment, and Kyta Productions.
Talking about the film, John had earlier stated to a leading tabloid, "I have never been in a hurry to produce films and have been searching for subjects that are engaging... stories that resonate with the current socio-political and economic mood of the country. This film fits in perfectly with my pursuit, and I am also happy to start my association with Prernaa and Arjun."
Whereas the director of the film, Abhishek said, "I'm glad to collaborate with John. His involvement as an actor and producer adds great value and credibility to my vision."
Earlier, talking about Parmanu getting postponed, John said to a leading tabloid, "I refuse to compromise on anything, be it the action, the visual effects or the sound design. Also, I need time to converse with my audience, prep them up for a film set two decades ago. It is really strong in content and I don’t mind moving dates as long as my film is good because a Friday speaks. With all due respect, I’d like to say that I would not move for any other film but I’ll only release my film when it’s completely ready."
