Padmavati poster: Ranveer, Deepika or Shahid - Who stole the show?

Finally, the much-awaited posters from the upcoming movie Padmavati starring Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are finally out and it was definitely worth the wait. 

Today, the makers revealed the first look of Ranveer Singh in the movie. The actor looked no less than regal and heinous in this new poster. Ranveer’s intense and fiercful look will set your heart thumping. Ranveer Singh will be seen playing the role of an antagonist, Alauddin Khijli who is mesmerized by Queen Padmini’s beauty.

Deepika and Shahid's first look was unveiled just recently and people still cannot stop raving about it. Deepika looked like a million bucks as she sported a unibrow. She looked majestic in the avatar of Queen Padmini. Deepika will be seen essaying the titular character in the film that will release in December. Two posters have been launched by the team which stars the actress. Deepika can be seen adorning exquisite jewellery and her attire is absolutely stunning. In one poster, Deepika is seen donning a red ghaghra-choli that has intricate handwork. Deepika looks every bit royal in the second poster.

Shahid Kapoor looked handsome and fierce as Rani Padmavati's husband, Rawal Ratan Singh in the posters. While one poster of Padmavati has Shahid Kapoor in a close-up shot, the other is a long shot of him, where the actor is seen in a bloodied avatar in battleground. Shahid had spoken about his look saying, "When you are playing a King, you need to have a certain personality. At that time, the people used to not be very skinny and lean, so you need to have a manly personality. Basically for that, and to carry those outfits also, Sanjay sir wants me to be a little muscular and a little full. But I will be gaining weight in terms of muscle and not in terms of fat. This is because I am playing the character of a warrior. The Rajput kings had very strong personalities."
