Sanjay's Padmavati was supposed to hit the screens tomorrow that is, December 1, 2017, but it has been deferred and the new release date isn't declared yet.
Recently, while talking to a leading magazine, Shahid Kapoor, the lead of Padmavati was all praises for SLB. He stated, "I am in awe of him, for he has been relevant as a filmmaker for over 30 years. I told him that if he wanted me to do it, I would. And that was it. Beyond that, the journey of the film has been magical — extremely challenging, but also extremely magical!"
In an interview with a leading daily, when Ranveer Singh was asked about the controversy surrounding the film, he said, "It’s undoubtedly a very tough situation. I am most concerned about Sanjay sir. At this point, for him to go through all of this is extremely difficult considering the amount this man has suffered, sacrificed and [the way he] fought to make this film. What anybody else is going through can’t be compared to what he is experiencing. It’s a difficult situation for him to be embroiled in after the kind of love and sheer effort he has put into the film."
