Padmavati: Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon and Abhishek Bachchan grace Deepika Padukone’s bash

Deepika Padukone today hosted a grand party for close friends to celebrate the response that she has garnered till now for her upcoming release, Padmavati.

Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon, Abhishek Bachchan and others marked their presence at the much-awaited midnight bash. While Alia looked beautiful in a black-white outfit, Kriti also chose a black outfit. The two smiled and posed as they got clicked by the paparazzi.On the other hand, Abhishek also looked handsome in a black suit.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati is the most awaited film of 2017. The movie also stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in pivotal roles. 

Speaking about his role in Padmavati, Ranveer had told a publication, "It was a very difficult character to play. I am a people pleaser, admittedly. I like to spread cheer and laughter. I like to keep the atmosphere light – even if it means making stupid jokes and acting silly and crass. But, when I became Alauddin Khilji for the movie, there’s no trace of that person. Some actors are that way, where the external starts to affect the internal. At some point during filming, everybody realized that at one point in the morning you’ll have Ranveer and the rest of the day will be Khilji. My whole energy changed. Which is good, because at least I know I’m doing an honest job in the film. But, yeah, I’m almost done now and I have to say what I told myself holds true to some extent. All the darkness has been lived out, it’s been addressed. It’s almost like therapy."

Padmavati's trailer has received appreciation from everyone - be it celebs or the fans. On this note, Deepika had said, "After the overwhelming response to the trailer, Sanjay Leela Bhansali sir and we all did a group hug. We couldn't get over the response. We are very proud to present the 3D version of the trailer."
