PadMan: Sonam Kapoor and Twinkle Khanna are looking incredibly gorgeous in this picture

Sonam Kapoor is busy promoting her upcoming movie, PadMan which also stars Akshay Kumar and Radhika Apte in pivotal roles.

Produced by Twinkle Khanna, PadMan is a film inspired by the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, a small town entrepreneur from Tamil Nadu who invented low-cost sanitary napkins to generate awareness in the rural area.

Today, Sonam Kapoor shared a picture of herself with Twinkle aka Tina. In the photo, the two are all smiles and are looking extremely gorgeous together. Sonam captioned the image as, ‘’Tina and I for Padman.’’

Talking about Twinkle, Sonam told a leading daily, ‘’Actually, I’ve known Tina for many years. During my interactions with R. Balki (director), Tina would never interfere. There’s an etiquette we follow on the sets. He’s the captain of the ship and has to take a call. And this is what Tina follows too.”

During a media interaction, Sonam was asked about her reaction when she first got periods. To this, she replied, ‘’I was 15 when I got my periods and all my friends had got that way before me. I was very upset that I had not got it. So when I actually got it I was very relieved because I kept telling my parents there is something wrong with me as I did not get my periods. So, I was very very happy.’’

Talking about the serious agenda of the movie, Twinkle had earlier said, "We are making sure that school girls and supervisors watch this film." If you have seen the trailer, it starts with a strong note wherein Akshay is seen trying to wear a sanitary pad. Twinkle, on this, said, "R.Balki convinced me that Akshay should play this part."
