Newlyweds Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja enjoy a romantic dinner date

Sonam Kapoor tied the knot with Anand Ahuja in a dazzling 3-day affair. They got married in a private traditional Anand Karaj ceremony on May 8, 2018. Sonam and Anand dated for over five years before taking the plunge into matrimony. Sonam revealed recently that she has been engaged for quite a few years.

Soon after the wedding, Sonam left for Cannes where she fulfilled her professional commitment. Sonam is back in the city and has been joined by husband Anand. The couple are making the most of their time and enjoyed a dinner date at a plush restaurant.

Sonam looked pretty in a white oversized shirt and green leggings, where as Anand Ahuja rocked the casual look. On the work front, Sonam is busy with the promotions of her next film, Veere Di Wedding and Anand Ahuja is in the city to oversee work on his store.

When asked by DNA about working after marriage and if times are different for married actors today, Sonam had said, “People are still asking me these questions, which is sad. I don’t know if it’s changed that much. I know that Kajol, Dimple Kapadia, Nargis, Nutan and Waheeda Rehman have continued with their career post marriage. In fact, Madhuri (Dixit-Nene) did Devdas after tying the knot. But it’s still a long way to go. And we, as women, need to come together and be stronger. The choice shouldn’t be taken away. I hope to set an example by coming straight out of my wedding and doing what I do best."
