Nawazuddin Siddiqui shares a picture of his son dressed as Lord Krishna; thanks his school for giving the opportunity
Nawazuddin Siddiqui gets elated after seeing son dressed as Lord Krishna.
In the year 2016, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was all set to be seen in a stage play of Ram Leela which was to be held in his village Budhana. But he had to pull out after the political party Shiv Sena raised an objection against a Muslim artist being a part of the show.
Nawaz, who was saddened by this took to Twitter and expressed it by posting the pictures from the rehearsals. He tweeted, "My childhood dream could not come true, but will definitely be a part of Ramleela next year. Check the rehearsals."
He had even shared the video from the rehearsal with the tweet.
Today, Nawazuddin had a happy day as his son got a chance to play Lord Krishna in a school activity. The talented actor posted a candid picture of his tiny tot dressed as Krishna and tweeted, "I am glad to the school of my kid . Who gave him an opportunity to play the character of " natkhat nandlala""
That's really sweet and touching!
Last year, when a news channel asked the Manjhi actor the reason behind him opting out, he had stated, "There were some technical issues. I got the order that I should not do it as it was important to maintain peace in the village."
Damodar Prasad Sharma, President of the Ram Leela Committee told a popular daily that time, "A few members of the Shiv Sena didn’t want a Muslim man to play a character in Ram Leela. Then the police told us that we should not let Nawazuddin participate and, if at all we do, and there is a problem during the show, we will have to take responsibility. We were not ready for that, there were just too many people in the audience, we couldn’t have controlled the crowds in case of a ruckus."
