Manikarnika success party: Kangana Ranaut showcases herself as Rani Laxmibai, Ankita Lokhande joins in too

It has been a great year for Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut as her latest release Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi has achieved tremendous success. The film which was released in theatres all over India on January 25, 2019, has been immensely loved by the Indian audiences as well as the critics. Recently the cast and crew members of Manikarnika celebrated the success party of the film. The star of the event was, obviously Kangana Ranaut. Kangana Ranaut wore a white coloured saree with red borders and a red blouse in the manner worn by Rani Laxmibai. She also carried a sword in her hand and wore traditional jewellery to match her entire outfit. Ankita Lokhande was also among the other people present at the event. Ankita looked stunning as ever as she wore a pink coloured saree along with a full sleeve blouse. Both Ankita and Kangana smiled together as they were being snapped by the paparazzi.

Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi starred Kangana Ranaut in the titular role of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. The film also starred Ankita Lokhande, Vaibhav Tatvawaadi, Muhammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Atul Kulkarni and Jisshu Sengupta in significant roles. Manikarnika has been produced by Nishant Pitti and Kamal Jain and has been directed by Kangana Ranaut and Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi aka Krish. The film garnered a lot of contoversy when Krish alleged at the time of its release that Kangana had taken away the directorial credits from him. On January 18, 2019, a special screening of the film was held at the Cultural Centre of the Rashtrapati Bhawan for President Ram Nath Kovind. The artists as well as the crew of the film were felicitated by the President. 

Meanwhile. Kangana will be next seen in the upcoming film Mental Hai Kya? co - starring Rajkummar Rao which is scheduled to be released on May 3, 2019. The film is going to be a comedy crime thriller. The film has been produced by Ekta Kapoor and has been directed by Prakash Kovelamudi.
