Before that, the makers have released one more striking poster of Manikarnika wherein you can see Kangana Ranaut sitting on the throne with her son. She perfectly portrays the protective mother. The actor bringing to life the story of the country's warrior, Rani Laxmibai. Kangana is leaving no stone unturned for the project. Going by the teaser, we can say the trailer would be a visual spectacle for the audiences.
Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi has been an inspiration in every way - she was a fighter, she was a queen and she was a mother. Fans are eager to see Kangana ace the role of the Queen Of Jhansi. For the uninitiated, in 1842, Manikarnika was married to Raja Gangadhar Rao, and became the Queen of Jhansi and changed her name to Laxmibai. They gave birth to a son who died when he was just 4 months old. The couple, then adopted, a son and named him Damodar Rao. When the British army attacked Jhansi, Rani Laxmibai strapped son Damodar Rao on her back and fought the battle.

In an interview, Kangana Ranaut said that she has grown up listening to Rani Laxmibai's legend and folklore like all of us but at the same time she did not know the intensity of her life. She added that what was unknown about her life is that she fought for many things that are acceptable today like adoption and women empowerment.
"She was a visionary and I value the freedom that we have because of her a lot more," she added.
