Lakme Fashion Week: Esha Deol and Hema Malini walk the ramp; Esha loses her cool at organisers

The Lakme Fashion Week Festive/Winter edition concluded today with Kareena Kapoor Khan walking the ramp for designer Monisha Jaising at the finale show today which was attended by Karan Johar, Shweta Bachchan and others. The fashion week saw many designers showcasing their collection. Celebrities like Bipasha Basu, Dia Mirza, Karisma Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Radhika Apte, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and others turned showstoppers for their favourite designer. Dream girl Hema Malini and daughter Esha Deol Takhtani walked the ramp together for designer Sanjukta Dutta today.

The mother-daughter duo looked elegant and graceful in traditional outfits. Esha shared photos after the show and posted on her Instagram account, “Walking the ramp with my most comfortable partner my mother @dreamgirlhemamalini for the awesome talented designer @sanjukta_dutta_@lakmefashionwk @ramkamalmukherjee@cakewalkthefilm ! Our best wishes to you @sanjukta_dutta_” After they walked for the designer, Hema Malini and Esha Deol arrived back stage for media interaction and for photo op. Hema Malini was asked about her experience of walking the ramp with daughter Esha and about her outfit. She answered that she was happy to support the designer who is working for the empowerment of women in Assam. She added that they are also going to promote Esha’s film, Cakewalk.

When Hema Malini prodded Esha to talk about her film and her outfit, the organizer interrupted and informed the media that this is not an interaction, but merely a photo op. This upset Esha Deol who calmly and gracefully handled the situation. Here’s the video:
