Kriti Sanon reacts to Mahira Khan and Ranbir Kapoor’s pictures that had gone viral just a few days back.
Ranbir Kapoor and Mahira Khan's pictures from New York had gone viral just a few days back. The duo, who are rumored to be dating, was seen smoking outside a hotel in the pictures.
Post that, Mahira was trolled for smoking and wearing a short dress. Reacting to this, Ranbir Kapoor in a statement to a leading daily said, "I've gotten to know Mahira in a personal capacity over the last few months. She is somebody who I admire and respect, for her achievements and even more for the person she is. It is very unfair the way she is being judged and spoken about. What is also said is the inequality in judgment just because she is a woman. I request you to stop the negativity and move on with your beautiful god gifted lives. Peace and Love."
He further added, "PS: Both smoking and hate are injurious to health."
Many actors, both from India and Pakistan, came out in support of the actress. The latest one is Kriti Sanon. But what she had to say about the alleged leaked pictures gives a whole new spin to the debate.
Kriti, who was attending an event yesterday when asked to comment to on the pictures that went viral said,“Trollers should not be paid any heed to,” she began. ‘’We should not give these topics any importance by even commenting on them. Because that is how a news cycle works in a logical world,’’ she added.
Parineeti Chopra also came out in support of Mahira Khan, she said, ‘’it is quite unfair, everybody knows it is unfair, and it will stop. Today because of social media, everything becomes too big a deal,” the actress commented at the trailer launch of her film, Golmaal Again.
Ranbir Kapoor's father Rishi Kapoor also reacted to the pictures and said, "He can meet anybody whoever he wants to, and if people are going to invade his privacy, it's not done."
On the work front, Ranbir is currently busy shooting for Sanjay Dutt's biopic which also stars Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma in pivotal roles.
