Kesari: Akshay Kumar shares a new still from the film on the occasion of Lohri
Akshay Kumar took to his Instagram page and shared a new still from his upcoming film, Kesari on the occasion of Lohri festival. The film is based on the historic Battle of Saragarhi.
Akshay Kumar's first release of 2019 is Kesari which is based on the historic battle of Saragarhi held in the year 1897. In the film, the talented actor will be seen playing the role of Havildar Ishar Singh, who was a part of an army of 21 Sikhs which fought against 10,000 Afghans. The film is directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Karan Johar under his home banner Dharma Productions. Akshay's look from the film which was unveiled last year left an impressive mark on everyone.
Today, on the occasion of Lohri, the actor took to his Instagram page and shared a new still from the film posing with his co-stars as 21 Sikh army men. He posted the photo with a caption in Punjabi stating, "Dushman de saahmne jad tak soormeyaan diyaan hikkaan tanndiyaan rehangiyaan, Iss dharti te lohriyaan manndiyaan rehangiyaan!! 36th Sikh Regiment di Saragarhi tukdi vallon sabnu Lohri diyaan bahut bahut vadhaayian!"

Talking about Kesari, the film also stars Parineeti Chopra as the female lead and will hit the screens during Holi this year, that is, March 21, 2019.
Last year, Akshay had posted a couple of new posters from the film on his Twitter page.
