Kedarnath: Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput are in celebratory mood in this still from Sweetheart
Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan are all set to share the screen space for the first time in Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath. The makers have released one still from the upcoming song, Sweetheart.
Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput's Kedarnath has been in news ever since its inception. It is one of the most anticipated movies this year for several reasons. Firstly, since it marks the Bollywood debut of Sara, Saif Ali Khan's daughter into the movies, and secondly, because it brings to the celluloid the memories of Uttarakhand flash floods. The movie directed by Abhishek Kapoor will be releasing on December 7 this year.
In the film, Sara features as a tourist-pilgrim Mukku, who embarks on the 14-km journey from Gauri Kund to Kedarnath at a time when the Kedarnath floods destroyed Uttarakhand in 2013. In the film, we see Sushant playing a Muslim pithu named Mansoor who happens to be Sara’s companion on the pilgrimage, during which the two fall in love. The makers have released one still from the upcoming song, Sweetheart. Even Sara shared it on Instagram. The two lead actors look happy and bright in the photos.

At the trailer launch, Sara was asked about her experience of working with Sushant in this project. On this, she said, “I am so glad that you asked me that. I have no idea how I have done this film. I have tried my best but I feel I couldn't have done any of it without Sushant. He has just been most helpful person I have had. There were days when I was lost and scared as it's the first time I am facing the camera but he has been hands on. Sushant also helped me improve my Hindi and jo bhi tooti taati bolti hun inhone hi sikhayi hai. He has helped me a lot.”
Sushant too revealed that Sara kept him on his toes throughout and was a delight to work with. Director Abhishek Kapoor too was all praises for the duo.
