Kedarnath POSTER: Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan introduce us to their characters, pithoo & pilgrim
Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput's Kedarnath's FIRST poster was unveiled today by director Abhishek Kapoor. Sushant Singh Rajput as pithoo carries pilgrim Sara Ali khan on his back.
Kedarnath’s first poster was unveiled today by director Abhishek Kapoor. Starring Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput, the film will release on December 7, 2018. The film was earlier slated to release on November 30, 2018 and there were reports that it has been pushed to March 2019. However, the film will now hit the theatres on 7th December. The first poster of the film has Sushant Singh Rajput who plays the role of a pithoo in the film carrying Sara Ali Khan who plays the role of an affluent pilgrim.
The film is a love story set against the backdrop of the floods in Uttarakhand. Even on the poster, the Kedarnath shrine and other pilgrims are depicted. The film's tag line is 'Love is a pilgrimage'. Abhishek Kapoor shared the poster and captioned it, "No tragedy, no wrath of nature, no act of God can defeat the power of love! The film will mark Sara Ali Khan's debut in the industry.
Like Sushant Singh Rajput who debuted in the industry with Abhishek Kapoor's Kai Po Che, Sara Ali Khan will also debut with Abhishek Kapoor's film. Sara will be seen donning traditional attire in the film. Abhishek Kapoor had reportedly decided to take legal action against Sara for signing Simmba. According to the contract, Sara could not sign any other film till the release of Kedarnath. Now, both the films, Kedarnath and Simmba will release in December. Kedarnath is a much anticipated film as it marks Sara's Bollywood debut.
