Kangana Ranaut meets the Maharani of Bikaner Padma Kumari on the sets of Manikarnika:The Queen of Jhansi
Kangana Ranaut is busy with the shooting of the film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. The film is being helmed by Telugu director Radhakrishna Jagarlamudi(Krish) and also stars Ankita Lokhande, Sonu Sood, Atul Kulkarni and Jisshu Sengupta in vital roles.
Kangana Ranaut is currently shooting for her film Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi. She will play the role of Rani Lazmibai in the film. The actor is currently shooting for the film in Bikaner.
Today, the Queen of Bikaner, Padma Kumari visited Kangana on the sets of Manikarnika. The Maharani is a huge fan of her film Queen and had made a special request to meet her. Kangana welcomed the Queen of Bikaner on the sets and even clicked a picture together.

The movie was in news for facing objection from Sarva Brahman Mahasabha, a Brahmin group from Rajasthan as they think the film has distorted facts.
The writer of the film, KV Vijayendra Prasad, spoke to media in Rajasthan and said how Manikarnika and Baahubali had flavors of valour, fierce loyalty and patriotism.
He also spoke about how Rani Laxmibai was a symbol of National pride and he had also named his daughter Manikarnika. Interestingly, since the birth of his daughter, he was yearning to tell the story of the brave queen, and when he got the opportunity, he wrote the entire story within the span of a month.
Film’s producer, Kamal Jain, also issued a statement on the issue where he clarified that Rani Laxmibai’s character had been represented with utmost care,
"As responsible filmmakers, we have taken utmost care while portraying Rani Lakshmi-bai’s character and have consulted historians and scholars. Rani Lakshmibai was a freedom fighter and one of the most respected leaders that our country has seen. She is a symbol of valour and the film’s story depicts the same," said the writer.
