Kalank: After Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan heads to Kargil for the shoot
Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt will be shooting in Kargil for Abhishek Varman's Kalank. The film also stars Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur.
After working together in Student Of The Year (2012), Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017), Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt have paired again for Abhishek Varman's Kalank. The duo has been shooting for the film from May 2018. The film also stars Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha. The team was shooting continuously in Mumbai. Now, the destination for the team is Kargil. Yesterday, Alia Bhatt shared a picture on her Instagram story while she was on her way to Kargil. Today, Varun Dhawan is headed to Kargil.
Even Varun shared a picture on his Instagram story. The remaining cast is expected to join them in the next few days. The shooting is expected to go on for next 3-4 weeks and eventually will be wrapped up by mid-November. Kalank is a period drama and it will be produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. Kriti Sanon will have a special dance number with Varun and Aditya. The actors shot for the same in June. Kalank will hit the screens next year on March 19, 2018.

Madhuri Dixit will be playing the role of a courtesan in the film. A few pictures from the sets were leaked earlier. She will be showing off her fantastic dance moves in Abhishek's film. Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan is on cloud nine as his last release Sui Dhaaga: Made in India became a hit. Directed by Sharat Katariya, the film also starred Anushka Sharma in the lead roles.
Along with Kalank, Varun Dhawan will be next seen in Shashank Khaitan's next, which will be a spy thriller. The actor recently shot for a cameo in Salman Khan starrer Bharat.
