Janhvi Kapoor meets director Gauri Shinde; is a new movie on the cards?

Janhvi Kapoor made her Bollywood debut this year with Dhadak. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, she was paired with Ishaan Khatter in the film. Dhadak performed well at the box office and managed to collect more than Rs 50 crore at the box office. The film received good reviews from the critics as well as the audience. Now, Janhvi's fans are eager to know what will be her upcoming projects. Well, looks like she has found a new one!

Today, Janhvi Kapoor was clicked with director Gauri Shinde in Mumbai. The actor-director duo was engrossed in a conversation and were all smiles. Now, we are left wondering if these two are planning to come together for a movie or not. Gauri Shinde was a very good friend of Janhvi's mother Sridevi. In fact, Gauri's first ever Hindi movie was English Vinglish (2012) in which the late actor Sridevi played the lead role. It is one of the best Hindi films and Sridevi was phenomenal in it. Sridevi and Gauri were even planning to make a sequel to the film.

Janhvi Kapoor will be working with Karan Johar in his multi-starrer, titled Takht. She will be sharing the screen space with Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar. Karan shared this news last month on his Twitter along with a poster. The film will hit the screens in 2020.
