Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor arrive in Delhi with dad Boney Kapoor to receive Sridevi’s National Award

Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor and Boney Kapoor were clicked at the Delhi airport today as they arrived in the capital city to attend the National Awards event. Sridevi has been posthumously awarded Best Actress for her performance in Mom. Her family will be receiving the award.

Boney Kapoor had told PTI about Sridevi’s win at the 65^th National Awards, “Thank you. I just wish she was here today to see this. We are overjoyed to know that the jury has conferred the best actor award to Sridevi for her performance in Mom. It’s a very special moment for all of us. She was always a perfectionist and it showed in all the 300 plus films she did. She was not just a super actor but a super wife and a super mom. It’s time to celebrate her life and her achievements. She is not with us today but her legacy will always live on.”

Sridevi passed away in Dubai on February 24, 2018 after accidentally drowning in her hotel bathtub. Mom was Sridevi’s 300^th film. Husband Boney Kapoor is planning to make a film/documentary on Sridevi’s life. Boney Kapoor told Mid-Day, “I have registered three titles, but I cannot categorically reveal what they are. It’s too premature to talk about it. There are plans to make a film, but I can’t tell you whether it will be a biopic or documentary. I don’t see the need to rush into anything. Whenever there is any further development, everyone will come to know about it.”
