Janhvi Kapoor has resumed shoot of her debut film, Dhadak with Ishaan Khatter. The young actors shot in Kolkata recently for important sequences of the film.
There were reports that Janhvi will be taking a break from the film’s shoot after Sridevi’s tragic passing away, however she surprised everyone when she decided to resume filming days after her mother’s demise.
A source had informed a daily, “Janhvi and Ishaan will be shooting in Bandra for the next couple of days where they will film some romantic scenes. In the coming week, the duo will head to Kolkata to begin work on the story post interval, when the lovers elope.
Director Shashank Khaitan too had said, “Yes, we have resumed the shoot, rumours of the team taking a break are untrue. We have started off in Mumbai and are looking forward to the Kolkata schedule.”
Janhvi and Ishaan’s photo from the sets of Dhadak is doing the rounds of social media. Ishaan and Janhvi’s camaraderie in the photo speaks of their close friendship. Ishaan has been by Janhvi’s side ever since the sad news broke.
Meanwhile, Karan Johar has instructed the cast and crew of the film to go easy on Janhvi. “A source revealed to the news agency, "Karan was close to Sridevi; he is also close to Janhvi now. He understands that she will not be in a position to work for a while. He has even instructed the team to take it easy with her. Having said that, Karan wants it to be a film that Sridevi would have been very proud of,” a source had informed a daily.
