It's a wrap for Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor's Dhadak

After months of hectic schedules, Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor have finally wrapped up the shoot of their film, Dhadak. 

Ishaan took to his Instagram account to share an endearing photo with Janhvi Kapoor from the sets. He captioned it saying, ''On another note, #dhadak wraps today - 3 months to release.''

Meanwhile, speaking of Dhadak, the movie tells the story of two teenagers battling the rigid caste system for their love for each other.

About working with Janhvi and Ishaan, director Shashank Khaitan had said in an interview, “They (star kids) do not come with burden, they are far more relaxed and chilled out. For me, even when I was working with Varun and Alia, I was working with two new actors and they never treated me as someone from outside the film industry. And I have never treated them as someone from the industry. Same thing over here, with Janhvi and Ishaan I am their director and they are my actors.”

The posters of the film were released earlier this year and both Janhvi and Ishaan look amazing in them. Shashank had then said, “It wasn’t tough to get the poster look for the film as we were sticking to the story that we have written and the world that we have created. Even the idea of the poster was to remain as honest as possible to the film that we want to make.”

Talking about the film, he had said, "The basic premise is of differences in caste, honour killing and what it means to survive in that world and I feel that is the conflict that is alive all across India, you will hear stories like that. So in that sense, the basic premise (of Dhadak and Sairat) is same. But there are variations."

Dhadak is slated to release on July 20, 2018.
