Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor are two of the hottest debutants to come out of Bollywood, in 2018. The star kids made their big Bollywood debut in a Karan Johar production titled Dhadak, which was directed by Badrinath Ki Dulhania fame Shashank Khaitan and was the Hindi adaptation of the Marathi film Sairat (2016). The reviews by the critics for their performances were positive while the audience flocked the theatres to watch them and they successfully entered the Rs 50-crore club.

While it's been a few months since Dhadak released, the co-stars have kept in touch and are often spotted on lunch or dinner dates and at parties as well. Their off-screen camaraderie is just as sparkling as their on-screen chemistry. Ishaan took to Instagram to share a throwback monochromatic photo with Janhvi from a photoshoot. In the picture, Ishaan is seen lying on Janhvi's lap looking handsome in a denim shirt while Janhvi looks gorgeous in a black slip dress which she paired with an oversized denim jacket. Meanwhile, in an interview with Filmfare, Ishaan got candid about his life-long friendship with Janhvi. "We’ve been passionate about our work. Also, we’ve been able to share our feelings and our vulnerabilities," Ishaan shared with Filmfare.

On the work front, Janhvi will be starring alongside Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Anil Kapoor in Karan Johar's Takht. Takht is slated for a 2020 release.
